Dry January

Dry January is a national campaign organised by Alcohol Concern where people are challenged to give up alcohol for the 31 days of January.

Research shows that six months after completing Dry January participants were:

  • drinking less often
  • drinking less per day
  • getting drunk less
  • finding improvements in the quality of their sleep
  • more energetic
  • noticing weight loss
  • saving money

Don’t undo all your hard work!

After this challenge avoid binge drinking as drinking in excess after a period of abstinence may affect you a lot quicker and differently than before.
